About the workshop
The Faculty of Economics, South Asian University, New Delhi cordially invites you to attend a three-day workshop on Data Envelopment Analysis for Performance Evaluation and Benchmarking. This classroom-based workshop will focus on both basic and advanced DEA models for efficiency and productivity measurement. The contents of the workshop are designed meticulously with the objective to provide a healthy balance between theory and hands-on applications. The participants will get training on using Microsoft Excel capabilities to handle DEA models in the first two days of the workshop. The final day of the workshop is reserved for the presentations on DEA modelling frameworks by the eminent scholars.

The workshop will be of immense benefit to doctoral students, post-doctoral fellows and academicians who are working in the field of efficiency and productivity analysis. The workshop will also be suitable for corporate professionals who are interested in learning benchmarking techniques.
Workshop Presenter
Subhash C Ray ( This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. ) is Professor of Economics at the University of Connecticut, Storrs, USA, where he has been a member of the faculty since 1982. Best known for his book Data Envelopment Analysis: Theory and Methods for Economics and Operations Research published by Cambridge University Press, he is internationally recognized as an expert on nonparametric analysis of productivity and efficiency. He has published numerous papers in top-rated journals in management and economics. Over the past several years, he has conducted a number of intensive workshops on Data Envelopment Analysis at various universities in different countries. Professor Ray received the WW Cooper Lifetime Achievement Award from the International DEA Society (iDEAs) in 2016 for his overall contribution to the DEA literature. He is currently serving as one of the editors of a 2-volume Handbook of Production Economics for Springer. Important Notes

Due to logistical reasons, only a limited number of participants will be admitted to the workshop. The admission will be on a rolling basis until all the positions have been filled or until the application deadline of 25th December 2019 has been reached. Participants are responsible for arranging their own transportation and accommodation.

A few optional pre-workshop tutorials on basic DEA models will also be organized for beginners.
