             Mohd Imran, student of the LLM program of Faculty of Legal Studies, was adjudged the Best Presenter
             for his research paper, titled "Critical Legal Analysis on the Revised Draft of the Proposed International
             Treaty on Business and Human Rights", at a national conference organised by Centre for Human Rights,
             Symbiosis Law School Hyderabad, held on 22-23 February 2020. His participation was fully funded by the
             CentreforHumanRights.


             Sanjana Hoque, student of the Faculty of Legal Studies, received the Campbell Johnston Clark Award for
             herpapertitled"InternationalInvestmentLawinRegulatingtheOffshoreEnergySector:Lessonsforthe
             BayofBengalRegion"attheInternationalConferenceonMaritimeLaw2020,organisedbytheCentrefor
             MaritimeLaw,NationalLawUniversity,Odisha,heldon22-23February,2020.


             Sudesh Pokhrel, Department of International Relations, received the Award of Global Goals Action
             AmbassadorintheGlobalGoalsSummitorganisedbyStudecInternationalinMalaysia,2020.



             AwardofDoctorofPhilosophy
             Surbhi Kesar, Research Scholar, Faculty of Economics, has been awarded the degree of Doctor of
             Philosophy in Economics on 3 March 2020 for her doctoral dissertation, titled “Rethinking Dualism: The
             Case of Indian Informal Sector”. Dr. Snehashish Bhattacharya was the Primary Supervisor of the
             dissertation, while Dr. Anirban Dasgupta and Dr. Rohin Anhal were the Co-Supervisors. Surbhi is currently
             a Research Fellow at the Centre for Sustainable Employment, Azim Premji University, Bengaluru, India,
             and is presently working on a co-authored book titled DecolonisingEconomics (under contract from Polity
             Press, Cambridge, United Kingdom). She is the first student to graduate from the doctoral programme at
             theFacultyofEconomics,SAU.


             MuskanJain,ResearchScholar,FacultyofLifeSciencesandBiotechnology,hasbeenawardedthedegree
             of Doctor of Philosophy on 17 February 2020 for her doctoral dissertation, titled “Exploring the Role of D-
             lactate Dehydrogenase in Abiotic Stress Tolerance of Plants via Glyoxalase Pathway”. Dr. Ananda
             MustafizwasthePrimarySupervisorofthedissertation.


             RajenderKumar,ResearchScholar,DepartmentofMathematics,hasbeenawardedthedegreeofDoctor
             of Philosophy on 15 January 2020 for his doctoral dissertation, titled “On Generalized Integral Transforms
             andSchwartzTypeFunctionSpaces”.Prof.PankajJainwasthePrimarySupervisorofthedissertation.


             Zubair Ashraf, Research Scholar, Department of Computer Science, has been awarded the degree of
             Doctor of Philosophy on 24 February 2020 for his doctoral dissertation, titled “Multi-Objective
             Evolutionary Optimization under Type-2 Fuzzy Uncertainty and its Applications”. Prof. Pranab Kumar
             Muhuri was the Primary Supervisor of the dissertation, while Dr. Q.M. Danish Lohani was the Co-
             Supervisor.


             Mohiuddin Al-Ameen, Research Scholar, has been awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy on 20
             February 2020 for his dissertation, titled "Bangladesh's Bilateral Investment Treaties and its Regulatory
             powerasaHostState".Dr.PrabhashRanjanwastheSupervisorofthedissertation.
